Some vehicles have big back windows that require extra attention for numerous reasons. The main reason for extra back window attention is the size and shape of the glass. Other things to consider; old stickers, temporary tags, computer under deck-lid, brake light and speakers. On some vehicles the moldings are just a tight fit that requires a little extra attention. The age of the vehicle will also play a slight factor. The older the vehicle the more prep time is involved because of the dirt that can accumulate in tough to reach spaces. In the end all vehicles require the same amount of attention because of the precision of window tinting.
So to give you an idea on how long it takes:
One window - half an hour
Two front doors - about 1 hour
Coupe - Two door car (everything except the windshield) - about 2 hours
Sedan - Four door car (everything except the windshield) - about 3 hours
Suvs & Vans - (everything except the windshield) - about 4 hours
Just the Windshield - 1 to 2 hours
All estimated times are based on averages. We at The Tint Tech like to keep the vehicle longer than most the shops in town. Keeping the vehicle a little longer assures quality and limits the chance for mistakes.
