Cutting the film can be done by hand or computer. The benefit of computer cut is a reduction in the overall time it takes to tint, with a lesser quality. The benefits of hand cutting is a more customized tint for each vehicle. Our hand cutting process goes like this. We place the film on the outside of the window and mark the tint with a Sharpie. Roll the window down and cut the top edge exactly to each window. Then place them on a piece of flat glass (on our shop walls) and cut the film off of the vehicle.
After the cutting process the tint is put back on the outside of the glass. Then shrunk to fit each individual piece of glass. Finally the tint is put back on the shop glass while the cleaning of the window takes place. Then the film is installed on the.... are you ready.... the INSIDE. Yes I know the suspense was killing you the tint goes on the inside an not the outside.
